Look at him now!

It's been a little while between posts, but our Georgie has grown into a teenager.  Still a puppy, but in a much larger body.  To say he is very loved is an understatement.

Who ever would have thought I would become a "dog" person.  Our newest member of the family as arrived and everybody has fallen in love.  He is a Border Collie - and is an old soul - that's for sure.

Recipe of the Week - Rocky Road Bon Bons

If you are a fan of the 4 ingredients innovation - then you may have already seen this wonderful little recipe.

 Rocky Road Bonbons - Makes 16 pieces

•  8 ounces / 225g dark, milk or white chocolate chopped 
• 1 cup macadamia nuts, halved * 1 cup marshmallows 
•  5 ounces / 150g Turkish delight, coarsely chopped 

In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate, stirring every 20 or 30 seconds, until nice and smooth.

Allow to cool slightly before adding the nuts, marshmallows, and Turkish delight. Mix until well combined. Line an 8 inch or 20cm square baking pan pan with baking/parchment paper. Pour the mixture into it. Neaten the edges and refrigerate until set.

Put the candy (Rocky Road) out onto a cool cutting board and peel of the baking paper. Cut into 16 squares.

Wrap each in clear cellophane. These make a beautiful handmade Christmas gift ties at each end with pretty ribbon.

A Little Bit About The Cube Toy Library

The Cube Toy Library is located in Sutherland and services the neighbouring areas of Gumdale and Wattleville.

The Toy Library works in a similar manner to a regular book library.  We have a range of toys suitable for babies to primary school children.  Each person who wishes to borrow toys has to join the library.  Toys can be borrowed for two weeks at a time.  Overdue fines are imposed if the toys are not returned within four weeks of borrowing.
